I took the day off from work today for a reason other than playing golf (more on that later), but I couldn't resist getting out on the course in the morning when I had nothing else scheduled. It's a beautiful day in Seattle today, as visible in the picture I took (above) of one of the holes on the back nine at Jefferson Park Golf Course.
Back in 2004 I got double-charged for my green fees at the course, and after getting the run-around from the manager there before finally getting my refund, I managed to get three complimentary rounds at the course out of the deal. I made use of the final free round today, which shows you how often I've been out golfing over the past couple of years (though I have played at a few different courses in the interim). On top of playing 18 holes for free, I managed par on one hole, a few bogeys, and the rest will go unmentioned. ;) I also made about a 15-20 yard chip on the back nine, which was a good way to close out the round.
All-in-all, I couldn't have asked for a better day to go out golfing, and I'm really hoping I'm back out on the course (any course) very soon.
