I submitted my first Thunderbird bug tonight. It's more a feature request than anything else, though. I merely suggested that after hitting "Send" on the message composition window the window should disappear immediately (like it does in Outlook Express, Outlook, etc.) and any indication of the message's send status should be shown only in the status bar of the application. This would eliminate the "Sending Message" dialog that currently appears in Thunderbird when you've clicked Send, and also free up a little extra time for moving on to any other messages you may want to read, reply to, etc. Because I figure there are Thunderbird users who prefer the current implementation, I made sure to suggest it be made an option, at the very least, so users can set their preference accordingly.
