Yep, just when you thought it was over I've gone and redesigned...again. This one happened by accident, though. I got inspired with this vision of a site in my head (this happens a little too frequently) and I started designing it. I wanted to do it without tables and completely control it by CSS. I wanted to have multiple themes that weren't in the same bland styles and shades of color. So, once I got a few versions I really liked, I thought, "What better place to use this than on my own home page?" So, there you go. Bernie Zimmermann's website, redesigned again.

It should be noted that the Mozilla bug I submitted last month is still wreaking havoc on my design. You can see how the content dividers (or "title" divs as I call them) spill out about 10px further than they are supposed to. Take a look in IE and the page looks symmetrically square (as it should). I have been told that the problem has been fixed in Phoenix, though, so I feel reassured that this fix will make it into Mozilla sometime soon.

On to bigger and better things. I watched the 45th Annual Grammys last night and thought I should mention those artists/groups I cared to see and then those I did not.

Artist/Groups I was happy to see at the Grammys:

  • Coldplay
  • New York Philharmonic
  • Eminem
  • "Silvio" from the Sopranos AKA Steven Van Zandt
  • Dustin Hoffman (even with the flubs)
  • Jamie Lynn Siegler (the Sopranos)
  • Ashanti

Artists/Groups that made me feel like I was wasting my time:

  • Avril Lavigne
  • Fred Durst ("agreeance?")
  • N*sync (especially the one with the mullet)
  • Michelle Branch
  • Sheryl Crow and Kid Rock (together!)
  • The list goes on...

My question is, where were Radiohead, Beck, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, Snoop Dogg, Björk and why for the first half of the show did every performer win the award that followed? Ridiculous...
