I made a new release of my GrayModern theme available today that is compatible with the newest version of Firefox. For more information on the theme, consult my Projects page, or visit the GrayModern thread on MozillaZine. If you're looking for a cool new theme to try out with Firefox 0.9, give it a try and let me know what you think. GrayModern is and always has been my favorite Mozilla theme.

So, I tried out GrayModern on Firefox 0.9 (because the default is so terrible, it just had to be changed). Well, the experiene went less than smoothly. I don't know if it was GrayModern or Firefox, but when I installed GrayModern, the buttons and controls all duplicated, leaving a much smaller address box. Each time I hit defaults, thr process repeated, leaving another set of controls, making the address bar ridiculously small.

The only way I found to fix it was to manually delete all the buttons, then return to defaults again. I then very carefulyl went to the old-looking (0.8) buttons and haven't touched them since.

Yeah, that duplication problem is a bug in Firefox...at least from what I've read. The workaround is to just shut down Firefox after you've selected the theme. When you restart, everything should be golden.
