My favorite feed reader, and coincidentally the only feed reader I have ever used, Bloglines, let me down in a big way this week.

I'm not sure what the Bloglines folks are up to, but it looks like they've been tinkering around this week and as a consequence I have lost several blog entries I was saving from multiple feeds. Just about a year ago I talked about how cool it was to be able to save blog entries for later viewing. My stance on that hasn't changed, but it isn't cool at all to lose entries from feeds like Slashdot and Forever Geek that I either planned on blogging about, reading in more detail, or in at least one circumstance, using as a reminder of a contest I wanted to enter.

I lost the saved Slashdot entries earlier in the week and chalked it up to some sort of feed glitch on Slashdot's part. However, now that I see I've lost four of my saved Forever Geek entries, I know it is an issue with Bloglines itself.

I'm very disappointed, mostly because I've been such a fan of Bloglines for so long and now I realize I will probably only recover about 10% of the entries that I've lost...so far.
