I went out and played nine holes of golf today with my good friend Travis and some guys we used to hang out with back in the old days. It felt good to get out early in the morning and actually do something physical. It took some mental convincing to get my body out of bed at 6:45am, since that's earlier than I usually get up for work on the weekdays, but nevertheless I'm glad I did. When I got home I took about a four hour nap before sitting down with Katie to watch the season finale of Six Feet Under.

Don't know if I've written it here before, but what a great show! I've been addicted to The Sopranos for a couple of years now, but it was only recently that I got hooked on Six Feet Under, which tonight brought its third season to a close. In the two weeks between the last episode and tonight's, we rented season one on DVD and managed to get caught up. However, now I find myself eager for the release of season two, since I still feel like I'm missing out on 33% of an amazing series. If you don't want to read a spoiler, quit reading now, but let me just say that the final scene was perfect. Seeing Nate Fisher show up and Brenda's, with nothing more than a few stares, silence, and the show's patented "fade to white" technique, couldn't have been any more potent, or any more fitting. Why do these types of seasons ever have to end?
