I'm right smack in the middle of migrating the entire Pleasure Unit domain over to my new server with Hard Hat Hosting, which means, this post won't actually be seen by anybody until the move has finally been made. Right now I'm working on the new server, but the Pleasure Unit domain still points at my old one. If everything goes smoothly, I should be able to make the full transition in less than a week.

If it weren't for the pages I created in ASP and ColdFusion, it would take a lot less time, but you'd never guess what good coding practice it is to have to translate from one language to another. If I recall, the original Pleasure Unit site was written in PHP, but I ported it to ASP for the learning experience. Looking back, I could have saved myself a lot of trouble if I would have kept those PHP files ;)

I am so anxious to get everything moved over, because, as one of the support reps from Hard Hat said last night during a chat session (keep in mind I was chatting with a support rep at 9pm my time), my old server is "sloooooooooooow." It's amazing what a switch from a Windows to Linux server can do, with the combined effect of switching from Access to MySQL (or Postgres, even). Hopefully I can get things up and running ahead of schedule.
