It's amazing what happens to summertime when you're working 40 hours a week and have a steady flow of stress as opposed to a mammoth pile of it in early June, just before 3 months of anti-school bliss. Yes, this is my first summer since I was about 5 years old that I don't get a few months to escape from it all and just enjoy being me.

The transition from student to workaholic hasn't been that difficult – afterall I was pretty much already a workaholic when I was in school. At least until my Junior year of college, when I realized I had had just about more schooling than I could handle. Friends still ask me if I ever plan on going back to get my Masters or Ph.D. My answer? A blatant "No." I will gladly give up a quarter per year of summertime fun to avoid the stress of endless homework and exams. Afterall, I still have the weekends to look forward to, right?
