Saying Netscape will succeed is like saying dial-up will soon see a revival. Let's be real.

Sean, it was funny 'cause I read your post probably a couple hours after I posted mine. I didn't even really need to visit the reincarnation of Netscape to know it sucks. Netscape, no matter what the brand is applied to, sucks and always will.
I could be wrong, but it seems to me all the truly wonderful websites that dominate the web these days, were created by individuals with passion, who just wanted to make a really cool site. Money wasn't the driving force. Often it wasn't even a second, or third thought.
That's partially the reason so many sites went belly-up during the .com bubble -- all those sites were created for the purpose of making money.
Now I visited Netscape for a good reason -- I think it would be great to have a Digg style site that deals with more than tech related issue. Unfortunately Netscape isn't that site. It's apparent their motive is money. If all the ads didn't give it away, then trying to bribe people to come to your site surely does.
So Netscape will fail like the rest.

Oh give me a break. I visited the new Netscape a couple days ago, and man was I disappointed. It has nothing to do with people, and everything to do with money. Nearly 1/3 of the browser window is taken up by advertisements. The real kicker is clicking on a link to a story. The story actually opens in a frame!! Netscape gives you the story with 1/3 of the browser window being taken up by their own crap.
