About a month-and-a-half ago, MozillaZine claimed (on behalf of Thunderbird creator, Scott MacGregor):
Thunderbird 1.5.0.x users will be offered Thunderbird 2 via software update at a later date. Those wishing to upgrade now are therefore advised to download and install Thunderbird 2 manually.
To this day, I have not received a software update for the new version. Has anyone else? What's the deal with it taking so long?

Although now that I think about it, I haven't used Thunderbird in quite a while, ever since my laptop died.

I haven't received any notice. Firefox updates sure don't take this long...
