This past week, a friend and I went and hit a bucket of balls (technically they came in a bag) at the driving range at The Golf Club at Newcastle, about five miles south of Bellevue. I had never been there before, but once we arrived I was pretty amazed by what I saw.

The photo above is the view of downtown Seattle from the course. It doesn't show the view of Lake Washington that is off to the west or downtown Bellevue, which is further west, but both are visible from the driving range. In fact, I spotted One Lincoln Tower and it appeared that I was higher in elevation than the top story. Where's Google Topography when you need it? ;)

Anyway, it was quite the place to hit some balls, even in 90+ degree heat, so I'm looking forward to going back.
