I'm currently enjoying day 2 of a 3-day weekend after meeting a deadline early at work this week. Even though the weather has finally turned sour in Seattle, it is nice to see rain again after so much sun. I don't suppose I'll see much sun again until sometime next spring ;)

The day has been a good one, other than the fact that the Huskies got beat by Nevada. How pathetic is that? I know I said this already this season, but now I mean it. The only game left to care about is the Apple Cup. The Huskies have been nothing but a disappointment to me this year. Luckily we've still got the Seahawks.

After driving around looking at neighborhoods today (my girlfriend and I will be moving into a rental house when our lease is up in January), my girlfriend and I went and saw Kill Bill Volume 1. It was vintage Tarantino and I loved it, but I was a bit surprised by some of the comments I heard coming out of the theater. I heard one guy complaining about how it was a weak rip-off of Charlie's Angels. Excuse me? Then I saw that he was wearing a shirt with crabs all over it, and that was that. The ending was definitely a tease for Volume 2, and I have to admit that I'll be there the night it comes out. Uma was great in this one, and the movie was chalk full with witty QT action and dialogue.

To top things off tonight, my girlfriend informed me that season five of the Sopranos is scheduled to begin airing in March (according to a magazine she is reading). Wow. I can't wait to see what happens with Carmela and Tony this season. They really left us hangin' at the end of season 4, which is what I've been watching every Sunday for the past few weeks. If I could post a firm series premiere date here, I would, because I've noticed that a few of the hits this blog have received have come from searches on "Sopranos Season Five." I can't even seem to find any news about it on the web, though, so Soprano fans might have to wait (as if we're not used to that already).
