I just paid Radiohead £10.45 (or about $21.31) for their new album, In Rainbows, but I could have paid them £9.45, or £0.45, or £187.22.

Oh snap!

I'll likely fork out more for the tangible stuff later this year, but for now I'm enjoying my shiny new download and loving Radiohead.

As what one might call a "broke-ass college student," I 'only' paid about ~$10 for the album. Nevertheless, I couldn't wait to get out of philosophy class this morning to finish listening to it; it's fantastic.

I just wish I could listen to it first before deciding how much to pay.

Myk, I'm not sure if you can do this because I haven't tried myself, but what if you offered to pay $0.00 and downloaded the album to give it a listen. If you like it enough to pay for it, you could then go back and pay for it again, this time actually ponying up some cash. Might be worth a try, anyway, and if they don't let you do that, then they're out the money, not you.

All that being said, if you're a Radiohead fan, this album is well worth the money you'd pay for any other album, plus some. I'd say this is #2 behind OK Computer.
