My fiancée and I just spent about five minutes staring at a spinning woman (via Jason Kottke).

At first, I could not, for the life of me, get her to spin clockwise. Sure enough, she was spinning clockwise for my fiancée, and then began spinning in that direction for me, too.

After a minute or two, my fiancée exclaimed that she thought the woman was changing directions in the graphic to fool us. But a few seconds later, she was spinning counter-clockwise for me, but still clockwise for her.

Bizarre.

Cool and yes, bizarre. She was immediately and unmistakably spinning clockwise for me. Couldn't get her to spin anti-clockwise. But as I browsed the list of left-brain/right-brain characteristics off to the left, I noticed in my peripheral vision that she was spinning anti-clockwise!

Clockwise, only clockwise, minute after minute, day after day.

Pretty cool, I was able to perceive her spinning in both directions.
